Western Dales Bus
The Western Dales Bus is a volunteer-driven bus company operating in the Sedbergh area
There is excellent walking potential in the Dentdale area and the S1 Saturday bus from Kendal gives 6 hours stay in Sedbergh or 5.5 in Dent. In addition the S5 service runs from Kendal to Kirkby Stephen on a Thursday which gives time for a short walk.
The 10 mile stretch of Dalesway is easily done from Cowgill to Sedbergh or Sedbergh to Burneside. Other ideas are Rise Hill from Cowgill to Sedbergh and a circuit of up to Cross Keys and the Calf in the Howgills
ENCTS bus passes are accepted.
The bus has capacity for 16 but has light usage on the Kendal to KS and Dent runs.
